Gorilla Dog Beds

Gorilla Dog Beds is a Houston-based manufacturer of durable, American-made dog beds, crate pads, and accessories. Founded in 2017, the company specializes in products engineered for durability, including orthopedic beds and its Gorilla Ballistic line for aggressive chewers. Since its launch, the brand says it has served more than 800,000 dog owners worldwide.

My relationship with Gorilla Dog Beds began in 2017, when the company was still operating its online store on BigCommerce. I later rebuilt the e-commerce website in WordPress and WooCommerce, creating a more flexible platform capable of supporting an extensive and increasingly complex product catalog. Today, the store encompasses nearly 200 products along with numerous sizes, materials, colors, replacement components, and other product options.

My role with Gorilla Dog Beds has evolved into ongoing webmaster and development support rather than marketing or creative direction. I work closely with the company’s marketing agency, providing the technical expertise needed to maintain, troubleshoot, and continually evolve the WooCommerce website while their agency manages the broader marketing strategy. That partnership has continued for nearly a decade, allowing each team to focus on its area of expertise while supporting a growing e-commerce business.
